TASL manufactures and supplies high quality TASTRAK™ plastic for etched track nuclear particle detection. We manufacture a full range of plastics, with different thicknesses and cut and engraved to any standard or custom requirements. The plastic film elements are suitable for radon dosimetry, neutron dosimetry and a wide range of research applications including laser plasma fusion diagnostic, space science experiments and for the teaching of radioactivity in schools.
We also offer a range of computerised fully automatic image analysis systems. These systems can be used to read dosimtery plastics for both radon and neutrons and can calculate exposures, as well as read etched plastics for a wide variety of research applications. The systems are microscope based, and perform sophisticated image analysis on the images of the etched tracks in order to enhance measurement accuracy and to reduce background.
